For each chapter domain, the first 25 questions are EXACTLY the same. There are 5 or so more questions for each chapter and a few of the questions are actually where there is a scenario in which a few questions apply to that scenario. Very helpful. But to pay that much for a few more questions. ---ehhh....I don't know if it was worth paying the extra $$.
I am not saying the questions aren't good, just that I would have expected more new questions and not the same ones questions by question as in the previous version. If you have the previous version I think you'd be fine unless you want to waste your $$ to pay another copy with a few more questions in each chapter.
The distinctive about this book is that it explains each of the answers, not just the best answer. This is critical for exam prep and is missing from Shon's All-In-One book and virtually all other prep material. I've only seen it in Eric Conrad's book and my own CISSP training material. I highly recommend it as a complement to Shon's All-In-One book (one might say it should have been included in that book, but All-In-One is already oversized) or to any other CISSP prep book.
This book is easily equally as important as the All In One Guide for CISSP exam preparation. This is by far the BEST practice exam resource out there. There are others out there, but they are not even in the same league. I recently took the exam in November, and I can tell you that this book is very relevant and very current. Plus, Shon adds detailed explanations for the answers which forces you to think in the same manner as the real exam question writers. Well worth the investment.
i have downloaded a few apps, looked for questions online and paid for some of it. Nothing compares to these questions. They are not only useful for exam studies but also jsut broadly useful in getting you to realize what you don't know.
I have dowloaded this book (Kindle edition) to supplement the official CBK review book with more practice questions. Honestly I was fully frustrated from this book, as it covered topics, that were not in the official book, not were mentioned in the course. I scored on the practice exams waay below the pass rate and I felt that I have no chance to make the real one.
What I really liked about the book is though that it had very detailed and meaningful explanation why a particular answer was selected, it gave a very good insight in the thoughtprocess of the exam. All in all it was a very useful read despite the initial frustration.
I bought both this book and the CISSP All-in-One Exam Guide, 6th Edition [Hardcover] and have successfully downloaded the Adobe Digital Editions eBook of the AIO by following instructions in Appendix B. I can't seem to find any instructions as to how to download the eBook version of this one although it says on the back cover of both books "ALSO AVAILABLE AS AN EBOOK"
What a great way to prepare. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the justifications to each of the answers as to why the answer I chose was right or wrong. It really drove home the defining reasons and pinpointed where I need to go back and study.
